When you are choosing dance music, too many obscure songs, even though they may be personal favorites, can kill a dance party if others don't really know them. Your guests will dance to familiar songs, based on their age group & lifestyle and you want the DJ free to track with what your guests are responding to to create a good party, within the parameters you have laid out.
